Spring OM-stead Weekend on The Farm
April 5-6th
April 5th 2-4:30pm Om-stead Workshop—Goats, Yoga, milk and Cheese Making Demonstration
Come meet the new kids on our farm with a fun, lighthearted, and easy breezy goat themed hatha asana/breath-work/meditation based yoga practice with our 5 new la mancha goats that joined our farm at the end of February. (no goats will be present during asana time for your safety) After we conclude the mat practice portion of our om-stead workshop we we will then demonstrate an easy lemon squeezey goat cheese recipe and share some tasty goat cheese made with milk from our girls. There will also be a milking demonstration and you will get to meet Oreo our oldest La Mancha milking doe. This will be a donation only event and all donations will go towards to Warren County 4H Goat club for new pens. We will have also milk and cheese available for purchase and all proceeds from this will go towards the care of our goats and help fund the new pasture area we will be creating for them this spring!
Sunday April 6th 2-4pm- First Home-stead and Holistic Co-op meeting
A west central Indiana based co-op for homesteaders and homestead-curious individuals, gardeners, small scale conscious farmers, herbalists, reiki facilitators, Ayurvedic healers, Chinese medicine , yoga facilitators, acupuncturists, and any other type of holistic/natural healers in our local commUNITY to share their knowledge and support to eachother. For me, homesteading and holistic/natural health care is another way I practice yoga, as I feel it allows me to connect on a deeper level with myself, others, and everything and everyone around me, but much like a yoga practice, homesteading and holistic healing is by no means an easy practice or way of life. Many homesteaders and holistic healers are constantly learning and growing in our skills and knowledge, the purpose of this club is for us to be able to share those skills and knowledge with eachother so we can lift eachother up and help our collective homesteads and holistic practices thrive and grow. We will have a monthly meeting with a demonstration by one of our members. Snacks welcome…just bring enough to share. Bartering for services or products is highly encouraged at each meeting, but no product sales are allowed, UNLESS you are the monthly demonstrator . There is no signup or membership fee for this co-op Come as you are, share what you wish and are able.
